1. Introduction

Welcome to the NSSA® website operated by Social Security Professionals, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. Course Registration and Certification

NSSA® Designation

To earn the NSSA® designation, participants must attend an 8-hour course and pass an 85-question exam with a score of 70% or higher.

Usage of Designation

Certified individuals may use "NSSA®" in their professional title, e.g., John Smith, NSSA.

Membership Benefits

Certificate holders gain access to NSSA® Membership, including monthly group calls and ongoing access to training materials.

3A. Certification Timeline and Maintenance Requirements

Course Completion Deadline

Participants must complete the 8-hour course and pass the certification exam within 12 months of registration. The 12-month period begins on the date of registration.

Exam Attempts

Participants receive two (2) exam attempts at no additional charge within the 12-month completion window. Each additional attempt beyond the initial two attempts costs $100 per attempt.

Late Completion Penalty

Failure to complete the course and achieve a passing exam score (70% or higher) within 12 months from registration will result in the following:

Loss of access to course materials and exam attempts upon expiration of the 12-month period

Required purchase of tuition at a 30% discount to restart and complete the course, plus any additional exam attempt fees

Upon completion of the discounted course, you will be required to pass the certification exam to earn your NSSA® designation

Certification Maintenance Requirements

Annual Dues

Certificate holders must maintain current membership status by paying annual dues on the NSSA® membership renewal date each year. Failure to pay dues will result in suspension of your NSSA® designation and membership privileges.

Continuing Education Requirements

Certificate holders must complete the required annual continuing education (CE) requirements as specified in NSSA® Membership guidelines. Completion must occur by the deadline established in your member portal.

Membership Renewal Notices

We will provide electronic notice of upcoming dues payments and CE requirements at least 60 days in advance of the deadline. A final reminder notice will be sent 30 days before the deadline.

Grace Period

A 30-day grace period applies after the renewal deadline. If payment is received within 30 days of the deadline, your membership status will be maintained without penalty, and you may continue using your NSSA® designation.

Lapsed Status and Recertification

If your certification status lapses due to non-payment of dues or failure to complete CE requirements for more than 12 consecutive months, you will be required to pay recertification fees to restore your active status. Recertification fees equal the full current tuition amount plus the current certification exam fee. Upon payment of recertification fees and completion of any outstanding CE requirements, you will regain full membership privileges and be eligible to use your NSSA® designation.

Status Restoration Timeline

Recertified individuals regain full membership privileges and CE credit upon successful payment of recertification fees and completion of any outstanding CE requirements.

Dispute and Hardship Process

If you believe your status has lapsed in error or you are experiencing a hardship that prevented timely payment or CE completion, you may submit a written request for review to support@nssapros.com within 30 days of status suspension. Include supporting documentation and a detailed explanation. We will review your request and respond within 10 business days. Eligible requests may result in a waived grace period extension or reduced recertification fees at our discretion.

4. Payment and Refunds

Payment

Full payment is required upon registration for courses or membership. Prices are subject to change. Additional exam attempts beyond the initial two attempts cost $100 per attempt.

Refunds

Refunds are available according to our refund policy.

5. User Conduct

Users agree not to engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our services. This includes, but is not limited to, uploading malicious software, harassing other users, or violating any applicable laws.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and course materials, is the intellectual property of Social Security Professionals, LLC. Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided.

8. Limitation of Liability

Social Security Professionals, LLC shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
